Kathmandu, Dec 14: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has awarded four employees for their outstanding performance.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal presented awards to them amidst a programme held today on the occasion of the 19th Parliament Service Day.
The Secretariat has conferred the ‘Outstanding Parliamentary Service Award’ on Joint Secretary Manoj Kumar Giri, the ‘Outstanding Parliamentary Service Award’ on Section Officer Jayaram Khadka, and the ‘Parliamentary Service Award’ on Technical Non-Gazetted First Class Officer Krishnakala Paudel and Office Assistant Ganesh Maharjan.
The prize amounts are one hundred thousand, 75 thousand and 50 thousand rupees respectively. On that occasion, four other parliament service staff, a gardener, a sweeper, a driver and an office assistant were also given cash awards and certificates as encouragement.
Before this, Speaker Ghimire and National Assembly Chairman Dahal launched the ‘Sansadsewa’ a special souvenir publication of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
Krishna Adhikari, Head of the Feature News Section of the National News Agency (RSS), who served as an expert of the souvenir publication, was also honoured on the occasion.
The Parliament Service Day is commemorated every year on the 28th of Mangsir as per the Nepali calendar in remembrance of the day the Parliament Service Day was issued on December 13, 2001.
