The waste processing plant is of 50 metric tons capacity and it will be handed over to the Dharan sub-metropolis after 20 years. The sub-metropolis has no investment in the project.

Although there is a single processing plant, it has separate chambers.

There are three chambers with each one having the capacity of processing 10 tons waste.

The plant has a total of 15 chambers. The LP Gas produced from the plant would be supplied as fuel to the auto rickshaws operating in Dharan.

The plant has the capacity of generating 2,000 kg gas daily, according to the project proprietors.

The plant has capacity to provide gas to 400 to 500 auto rickshaws on a daily basis. The plant spreads on one bigha two kaththas area.

Mayor Rai said that the waste of the sub-metropolis would be managed in a sustainable way with the operation of the plant.
