Kanchanpur: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has vowed that he would construct a bridge at Jhulaghat.
“Development of Sudurpaschim Province is in my priority,” he shared.
Addressing a joint election assembly of democratic-left alliance at Patan on Wednesday, NC President Deuba claimed that once the works on Paschim Seti, Pancheshwor Project, motorable road at Jhulaghat, midhill highway, Patan model city were completed, the development and creation of jobs would be realized in Sudurpaschim.
“Motorable road is imperative at Jhulaghat. I will talk to the Indian Prime Minister on it and construct the bridge over the Mahakali River at Jhulaghat at any cost.”
He further informed that West Seti project was forwarded. When it is completed, it would propel development in Sudurpaschim Province.
Deuba clarified that the electoral alliance was formed based on the need of country and appealed to the people to ensure victory to the alliance candidates.
According to him, federalism is necessary to maintain balanced development in the country.
Why majority to Oli: Prachanda wonders
On the occasion, Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former prime minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, ‘Prachanda’ said the country needs ruling coalition even after November 20 for the economic revolution.
The coalition work in line with people’s need, he reminded, adding that democracy must win via the election.
Reminding the telephonic conversation with Deuba during the conflict time, Prachanda argued, “NC-Maoist collaboration began since then because they had talked about adopting and forwarding the peace process.”
He accused the Oli-led government with two-thirds majority of tearing constitution document. “UML Chairman KP Oli, who dissolved parliament twice, is now yearning for majority votes. Why does he need majority? Why to vote for him- to destroy the constitution,” he wondered.
Prachanda seconded PM Deuba that government they were for elevating the lifestyle of Sudurpaschim people.
In Baitadi, the Maoist Centre and Unified Socialist are in alliance for the election fray.
