KATHMANDU, Dec 25: The incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expanded his cabinet this evening. Oli has replaced the former Maoist ministers who left the government after the dissolution of House of Representatives.
According to the President’s Office, the newly appointed ministers will be sworn in at 7 pm today.
After the resignation of Prachanda-Madhav ministers, those ministries were vacant. Former Maoist leaders have been given priority in the new ministers.
Newly added ministers:
- Top Bahadur Rayamajhi (Energy),
- Prabhu Sah (Urban Development),
- Mani Thapa (Drinking Water and Sanitation),
- Prem Aale (Forest and Environment),
- Ganesh Thagunna (General Administration and Federal Affairs),
- Juli Mahato (Women and Senior Citizens),
- Gaurishankar Chaudhary (Labor and Employment)
- Dawa Lama (Youth and Sports),
- Bimala Bishwakarma (Minister of State for Industry)
Change of responsibilities:
- Hridayesh Tripathi (Health and Population),
- Krishna Gopal Shrestha (Education)
- Bhanubhakta Dhakal (Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation)
- Padma Aryal (Agriculture and Livestock)
- Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe (Land Reforms),
- Lilanath Shrestha (Justice, Law and Parliamentary Affairs)
