Police arrest some persons over question paper leak



Kathmandu, July 26: Police have arrested some persons on charge of leaking question papers of the Masters of Business Studies (MBS) under the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University.

They were arrested on Sunday morning upon the instruction of Minister for Education and Sports, Sasmit Pokharel.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police detained them and launched investigation.

A question paper of ‘Organizational Behaviour’ subject of MBA was leaked on social media within minutes of the commencement of the examination on July 20.

Following the question leak, the Office of the Dean under the Faculty of Management at Tribhuvan University had written to the ‘Cyber Bureau’ for investigation and action.

Meanwhile, the Examination Control Division has also formed a three-member committee under the coordination of Prof Dr Achyut Gyawali to investigate the incident.

The committee members include Associate Professor Pushkar Raikhala, Deputy Director of the Monitoring Directorate, and Associate Professor Mahesh Raj Ojha, member of the Central Examinations Governing Board. The committee has been given seven days to submit a report after conducting the investigation. #nepal #rss
