Police arrests former Home Minister Khand

Kathmandu, May 10: The team of Kathmandu Police Complex arrested former Home Minister and Nepali Congress leader Bal Krishna Khand from his residence in Maijubahal on Wednesday morning after he was involved in a crime related to the Bhutanese refugee scam. He was taken to the Kalimati police station.

Ten people, including the then Home Secretary Teknarayan Pandey, who was chosen by Khand when he was the Home Minister, have been arrested with evidence. Secretary Pandey, who is in police custody, also took the name of former Home Minister Khand.

Based on the statements of the accused, the investigation was carried out.
