Policy and programs of the Lumbini passed by a majority

Butwal, June 14: The policy and programs presented by the Lumbini province government has been passed by a majority of the Provincial Assembly. The policy and program was passed by the majority of the assembly in the 10th meeting held today.

Chief Minister Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary, on behalf of the provincial government, tabled a proposal seeking passage of the policy and programs for the financial year 2080/81.

Speaker Tularam Gharti presented the government’s proposal for a decision before the assembly, and it was passed on the basis of a voice vote.

Earlier, the ruling MPs defended the policy and programs while members of opposition parties criticized them.

In today’s meeting, five provincial members had registered amendment proposals to the government’s policy and programs, which was rejected by a majority.

Also at the meeting today, Minister for Economic Affairs Dhan Bahadur Maski presented the economic survey of the financial year 2079/80. The 11th meeting of the Provincial Assembly will be held at 3:00 pm on June 16.
