Kathmandu, Feb 11: The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal led by Upendra Yadav has decided to vote against the Ordinance designed to Amend Some Nepal Acts related to Lands Management.

A parliamentary party meeting of the JSP Nepal on Tuesday decided to vote against the ordinance concluding that the ordinance was against the national interest in the long run. The party’ parliamentary party meeting decided that it would however support five other ordinances introduced by the government.

The government has registered six ordinances in the federal parliament for House approval. The JSP Nepal has argued that the Ordinance Made to Amend Some Nepal Acts related to Land Management was aimed at distributing land plots to some individuals without fixing the cap on the areas of land.

During the meeting, Party Chair Upendra Yadav argued that encroachment upon the national forest land and other land plots of national park, conservation areas, river, buffer zone and several other areas was likely if the ordinance was passed.

It will have serious impacts on Churiya region too and the Tarai belt could be converted into the desert land from this, the JSP Nepal said.#nepal #political #rss
