Kathmandu: Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said the political parties must address the resentment of youths. Addressing an election assembly organized by the democratic-left alliance at constituency no 5 of Kathmandu, Dr Bhattarai reminded that youths had increasing resentment towards political parties, which must be appeased.

“The youths had much expectation after the promulgation of constitution which the political parties failed to pay heed. The expectation has now turned into resentment,” the former prime minister reminded, adding that it is time for the alliance to create jobs within country and pave way for economic developments.

On the occasion, NC leader and former minister for law, Narahari Acharya, argued that only the alliance led by NC will be able to ensure development in the country. “Only casting vote is not enough. We need alertness whether the vote is utilized by the candidates,” he added.

Similarly, central member of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Kalpana Sharma, leader of CPN (Unified Socialist) Dipak KC and others urged the people to vote for the alliance candidates for the protection of constitution and to ensure country’s development.
