Prachanda won in Gorkha by a margin of about 14,000 votes

Gorkha: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has won in Gorkha Constituency No. 2 of the House of Representatives by a huge margin. Prachanda received 26,103 votes.

His nearest rival, Kavindra Burlakoti of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, secured 12,637 votes. CPN-UML’s Abdus Miya got 7,393 votes.

According to election officials, 54,031 votes were cast in Gorkha-2. Out of that, 50,907 votes were valid and 3,124 were invalid.

All three former Prime Ministers including Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has registered their victory in the HoR election. Likewise, former Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal is leading in Rautahat with wide margin while former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal is trailing behind in Ilam.
