Premiere of ‘Gurkha Warrior’ in IMAX Cineworld soon

Kathmandu, May 24: Recently, the market of Nepali movies have been found expanding abroad. The premiere of the movie “Gurkha Warrior” is going to be held at the prestigious IMAX Cineworld in Britain. While organizing a press conference in Kathmandu, the producer and director Milan Chams informed that the premiere has been fixed on September 10, 2023.

“Nepali actors will be seen walking in premiere like Hollywood actors. This is a matter of pride for Nepali cinema because the movies of big Hollywood companies Marvel, DC, Universal, Disney are premiered in that cinema building as well”, Director Chams said, “I am very excited to show the story of Gorkhali’s glory there because the world will see the story of our heroism.”

He emphasized that now everyone should go ahead and support the market expansion of Nepali films through collective cooperation. He also informed that the film will also be premiered in Hong Kong and Singapore as well.

Director Chams also informed that members of the British royal family, parliamentarians, heads of local bodies, British army generals, Gurkha regiment officers, Nepali embassy, celebrities, etc. have been invited to the premiere at the IMAX hall in Leicester Square, London.

‘Gurkha Warrior’, which is a war story, is the story of the battle fought by the Gurkha soldiers attached to the British army in the jungles of Malaya in 1949. Ritesh Chamsley, Bijay Lama, Revika Gurung, Rear Rai, Shishir Bangdel, Kabita Ale, Birup Ghale, Sara Rai and others have acted in the movie which is ready to be released in Nepali, English and Hindi languages.

The movie is written by directors Chams and Giriraj Ghimire, edited by Milan Shrestha, DOP by Sudeep Baral, fight direction by Himal KC.
