Kathmandu, Oct 28: Preparations for the visit of UN Secretary-General António Guterres have been completed.
The UN Secretary-General is arriving Nepal tonight for his four-day-long visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that security provisions have been ensured for the UN Secretary-General as per the security management procedures of the VIPs during his visit to Nepal.
Likewise, Nepalese Army has also made security arrangements as per the given responsibility.
During his visit, UN Secretary-General Guterres is scheduled to hold separate meetings with President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Dahal and leaders of different political parties.
The UN Secretary-General is scheduled to address a joint meeting of the federal parliament.
The Ministry of Foreign Ministry said that the UN Secretary-General is scheduled to visit the archeological sites in the Kathmandu Valley, Lumbini, Pokhara, the Annapurna Base Camp and others too.
