President Deuba expresses grief over Regmi’s demise

Kathmandu, May 14: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended grief over demise of former President of NC, Syangja, former member of the National Assembly and a tireless warrior of the democratic movement, Khagendra Raj Regmi.

A condolence message issued today by President Deuba reads, “I am very shocked and saddened from the news of passing away of Regmi. He had played significant role in organisation expansion of the Nepali Congress and Nepal’s democratic movement. I pay heartfelt tribute to late Regmi. I on the behalf of the party and on my own wish eternal peace for the departed soul and extend deep condolences to the bereaved family members.”

Suffering from cancer, leader Regmi passed away at his own residence at Bhirkot-7 of Syangja today. He was 75 years. Born in 2006 BS, he had started politics from his student life and became National Assembly member in 2058 BS.
