Presidential election in Parliament Building (photo feature)



The presidential election held at the Parliament Building at New Baneshwor on Thursday, March 9 2023. The Federal Parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) and Provincial Assembly (seven provinces) members cast their vote. The voting began 10.00 am in the morning and end at 3.00 pm. The Election Commission managed all the election procedure.

The vote counting began immediately after 3.00 o’clock. The counting showed that Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel stood victorious. He defeated CPN UML Vice-Chair Subash Chandra Nemwang with a wide margin.
