Kathmandu, Jan 10: Press Chautari Nepal, a journalist forum affiliated to CPN UML, will be holding its 10th General Convention in Biratnagar from March 9-11.
The journalists’ association has formed a Main Management Committee to ensure the successful organization of the General Convention.
Additionally, the association has established a five-member Recommendation Committee, chaired by senior journalist Gobinda Pokharel, to recommend nominees for the Hridayachandra Singh Pradhan and Agnishikha Memorial Journalism Awards.
A three-member committee, led by Debika Gharti Magar, has been formed to recommend nominees for the newly institutionalized Press Chautari National Women Journalism Award.
Meanwhile, the association has nominated 32 journalists as central members. They include Ishwori Kafle, Rakrishna Gyawali, Prakash Silwal, Shantaram Bidari, Dilli Acharya, Khagendra Adhikari, Dil Bahadur Chhantyal, Tilak Rimal, Basanti Bastola, Bhawani Karki, Satidevi Upreti, Shyam Krishna Dahal, Ganesh Gyawali, Urbashi Basnet, Sangita Acharya, Kamala Panthi, Kalika Shiwakoti, Shreedhar Paudel, Laxman Tiwari, Samjhana Ban, Kashi Rijal, Shankar Pandey, Bhojraj Bishwakarma, Malati KC, Sunita Mahato, Chiwachchha Chauhdary, Samjhana Gautam, Dharmendra Dahal, Apsara Gautam, Parbata Chaudhary, Naresh Shahi, and Salim Miya. #nepal #PressChautari
