Prime Minister bats for strengthening democracy and constitution



Kathmandu, Aug 31: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his commitment for strengthening democracy and the constitution.

While releasing the book ‘Into the Fire’ by Captain Rameshwar Thapa here on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli clarified that no action will be allowed to violate the rights of others in the democratic governance system.

Ruling out the need to imitate any country’s modality as Nepal has its own peculiar identity and modality, Prime Minister Oli said, “Nepal has its own identity, civilization and culture therefore there is no need to copy from others’ side.

Prime Minister Oli asserted that political development occurred in Bangladesh will not repeat in Nepal.

Expressing his commitment to strengthening democracy and the constitution, Prime Minister Oli said that it is not possible for those who fought against democracy to hurt democracy and rule of law.

He said, “We are going to strengthen the democracy and constitution for what we had fought. It is not possible for those who fight against democracy to tarnish us.” PM Oli further argued that there will never be any violent activities in Nepal like in the past.

Anarchy and violence are no longer possible in Nepal, Oli claimed.

“The incumbent government is committed to justice and will not pursue self-interest through improper means. It is dedicated to maintaining peace, law and order, especially when people’s interests and security are at risk,” the Prime Minister stated.

He stressed the need for a rational implementation of the laws and asserted that democracy should be the norms and values of the government and society. The Prime Minister expressed a strong commitment to establishing a full democracy.
Reaffirming his dedication to integrity and stance against corruption, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s efforts to break the cycle of poverty through economic improvements.

During the event, Prime Minister Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Balguru Adityanath jointly launched the book. RSS #nepal
