Kathmandu, June 15: The government has started implementing the report of the High-Level Commission on Investigation and Protection of Government and Public Land (Rawal Commission).
The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperative Federal Affairs and General Administration has stated that the process of freezing all encroached government and public lands mentioned in the report has been initiated.
As a result, all transaction or trade related to the land including transferring of the title has been halted.
The ministry has written to the Department of Land Management and Records and the Department of Survey today, directing them to freeze the encroached lands included in the commission’s report so that they cannot be transferred in the name of any person through purchase, sale, transfer or any other means. #nepal #rss
