Regular paragliding commences at Rubaskanda

Doti: Paragliding has been started at Rubaskanda Budar of Jorayal Rural Municipality-2 in the district. With this, regular paragliding has come into operation for the first time in the Sudurpaschim province.

The Chhatiwan Tourism Promotion and Conservation Committee and the Baitadi Amazing Adventure Pvt Ltd have jointly operated the paragliding service, which also offers observation of the touristic sites as the cascades, waterfalls and Chhatiwan Lake in the rural municipality.

This is the first commercial paragliding service in the district. The duration of the paragliding is 15 to 20 minutes.

With the start of paragliding, number of visitors and paragliding enthusiasts within the district and outside has been increasing at Chhatiwan, Committee president Bharat Kunwar said.

The cost per person per flight is Rs 4,000.

The paragliding takes place from the Bhagatdanda view point at the top of the Rubaskanda hill. The paraglider landing places is Chhatiwan Lake, Budar and Bichhil.
