
Kathmandu, March 28: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has said research is vital for successful development initiatives.
In his address to a programme organized by the Nepal Family Court Study here Friday, the Minister pointed out the need of unlearning the practice of haphazard development policies and plans. Before working on a development project, it is need assessment is essential. Its modality, durable impact and so on should go through a research-based approach.
Research-based development interventions in the areas like health and education help correct past mistakes, according to the Minister who also serves as the Spokesperson for the government.
According to him, fixing budget ceiling with a focus on clear plans and proper identification of needs was a prerequisite to successful implementation of budget, polices and programmes. #nepal #political #rss
