Kathmandu, July 1: The University Grants Commission has developed a national academic calendar and brought it into implementation in order to make academic activities of higher education systematic and effective.
The Commission brought the national academic calendar into force in coordination with universities, thereby integrating educational activities of universities.
The Ministry of Education and Sports on Tuesday approved the new national academic calendar with timely revision to the national academic calendar report for higher education, 2080. It was implemented following the ministerial decision. The Ministry shared that a decision was taken to send circular to all universities through the Commission for necessary actions.
The Commission believed that university education would improve with the implementation of the integrated national academic calendar.
The point no 87 of the 100-day reform agenda of the government had set a target to publish the results of Bachelor and Master Level examination as per the calendar provided by the Education Ministry. The Ministry brought it into implementation through University Grants Commission.
Earlier, the academic calendar prepared by the Commission was brought into implementation by approving from ministerial decision on September 15, 2023. Later, the Commission had formed a committee to revise the calendar in a bid to improve education quality as per time.
The new academic calendar was sent to the Ministry for approval after making necessary amendment.#nepal #rss
