Kathmandu, Aug 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been requested to take necessary steps for humanitarian solution to the problem of Nepali-speaking Bhutanese, who were chased from their homeland to become refugees in Nepal.

The Intra-national Welfare and Support Foundation of America, an organization of American young businessmen of Bhutanese origin, met Prime Minister Dahal on Wednesday at the Prime Minister’s Residence Baluwatar and submitted a memorandum requesting him to solve the problem of Bhutanese refugees.

President of the foundation, Dilli Adhikari, requested the government of Nepal to protect the human rights of refugees who want to return to Bhutan, live in Nepal or resettle in a third country and manage them according to their wishes.

The memorandum states that if the government of Nepal forms a task force to solve the problem of Bhutanese refugees attention should be given to solving the problem based on the report of the task force.

Attempt is being made to overshadow the plight of real refugees taking over the recent scam involving fake Bhutanese refugees.

On that occasion, Prime Minister Dahal praised the foundation’s contribution in connecting Nepalis from all over the world.
“My Voice Universe” and “My Dance Universe” competitions with the highest prize money in Nepal was organised by the foundation, which concluded recently.
