RSP expels controversial MP Dhaka Kumar, replaces with Bindabasini Kansakar

Kathmandu, April 12: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to expel it’s Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Dhaka Kumar Shrestha. The party has also decided to pick Bindabasini Kansakar as MP.

Likewise, the Central Committe meeting of RSP has also revoked Dr Shrestha’s party’s general membership. Dr Shrestha was picked HoR member from Proportional Seat.

Now, Dr Shrestha will no longer be a member of the party. Being elected through the proportional system, the RSP will be able to send another person to the parliament in Shrestha’s place.

According to Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane, the RSP will request Election Commission in this regard.

Organizing a press conference on Wednesday evening, Chairman Lamichhane clarified that the decision was unanimous and such activities further deteriorate the image of the party.

Earlier, Dr Shrestha had also threatened to disclose financial matters of the party.
