Kathmandu, Oct 28 : Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party Chair KP Sharma Oli and another Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ held talks today. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

According to Bishnu Sapkota, the press advisor to Chair Prachanda, matters relating to contemporary issues were discussed between the two leaders.

“The two leaders were scheduled to meet yesterday after PM Oli’s return from Azerbaijan but it could not happen, and hence they met today,” he said.

No other matter except the PM’s visit to Azerbaijan to attend the NAM summit and day-to-day affairs were discussed, Sapkota added.

No distance with Dahal: PM Oli

Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli on Sunday said relations between him and NCP Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have not distanced nor was there any possibility for this.

PM Oli was responding to queries on the matters raised by media persons at a press meet organised at Tribhuvan International Airport upon his arrival from Azerbaijan.

He had led the Nepali delegation participation in the 18th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.             Responding to a query on latest statement of Dahal ‘he in the past stood by the stance taken by people’s leader Madan Bhandari, PM Oli said “I do not know in which context he (Dahal) delivered this statement. But he has said he would take the party forward as per Bhandari’s thought.”
