Kathmandu, Sept 21: India has edged Bangladesh in the South Asia Football Federation (SAFF) U-19 Championship that kicked off in the capital city from today onward.
In a match played at Tripureswor-based Dasharath Stadium today, India defeated Bangladesh 3-0. Gwgwmsar Goyary, Nawoba Pangambam and Arjun Singh Oinam netted one each goal to steer India to victory.
With this win, India has gathered three points. The group ‘B’ has India, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Likewise, group ‘A’ has Nepal, Pakistan and the Maldives.
