Kathmandu, April 30: Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has said he had witnessed attack attempts from same group. He blamed the government that it failed to arrest those attempting repeatedly to attack him. Chairman Oli said it during a programme organized at party headquarters, Chyasal, Lalitpur on Sunday.
During the programme organized on the occasion of 73rd establishment day of All Nepal Peasants’ Association, Chairman Oli informed that attempts were made to attack him in Jhapa, Ilam and Panchthar districts. “A gang of 20 to 25 youths blocked the way, tried to fight and pelted stone on my vehicle,” he said, wondering why the government did not take action against them.
He further complained that he was verbally abused. “Some were in the name of communist, some in other camouflage were attacking CPN UML,” he made aware the party leaders and cadres.
Moreover, Chairman Oli urged the peasant leaders to devote to works. He expressed worry over competition for post rather than works.
“Leaders of peasant’s federation do not need to show identity card but devote to agriculture and livestock,” he reminded.
