Kathmandu, Jan 28: Sample ballot papers for voter education ahead of the March 5 election to the House of Representatives have been dispatched to all districts, according to the Election Commission (EC).
A total of 1,098,200 sample ballot papers have been printed and delivered nationwide for voter education purposes, said EC Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai. He added that printing of ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) elections in Humla, Kalikot, Jumla, Mugu, and Dolpa districts has already been completed.
Similarly, printing of ballot papers for the remaining districts is underway in phases, the EC said.
Spokesperson Bhattarai stated that the Commission has planned to dispatch ballot papers to all 165 constituencies between February 8 and 17.
Meanwhile, the EC informed that printing of more than 20 million ballot papers for the proportional representation (PR) system has been completed. #nepal #election
