Kathmandu: Saru Subedi, the founder/president of Tulasalaya, located at Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, along with other personalities have been awarded by the National Welfare Award – 2023.
The event was organized by Season Media recently at the National Theatre, Jamal, and had the deputy speaker, Indira Ranamagar, and the Chairman of the State Order and Good Governance Committee of the Parliament, Ram Hari Khatiwada presented the award.
Season Media Pvt. Ltd. had 23 individuals and organizations presented the 11th National Social Welfare Award.
The award was given in recognition of their contribution to Nepal through social service, according to Season Media. Tulasalaya, established by Subedi, who is also the president of the Tulasadevi Harihar Foundation, have more than 52 dependents, ranging from children to the elderly and also mentally unwell and physically disabled.
Pradeep Raj wonta, the President of Season Media, informed that the awards were given for the transformative contribution of those individuals and organizations in social service through the social sector. The winner of ‘Miss ECollege 2024’ was announced at the same ceremony. According to the decision of the jury among the 16 contestants in the final competition, Arju Poudel has succeeded in wearing the crown.
Poudel was given a laptop and a prize of Rs 35,000 in the same competition, Rashila Thapa was the first runner-up, Swastika Bajracharya was the second runner-up and Benisa Bajracharya was the third runner-up.
