Share market down by 12.47 points on Thursday

KATHMANDU: On the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE index decreased by 12.47 points and stood at 2,637.13 points. Shares worth more than Rs 6.81 billion have been traded today.

More than 15.98 million shares of 216 companies were traded in the floor. With the exception of three groups, the indices of other groups have declined.

Shares of two companies, Khanikhola Hydropower Company and Jana Utthan Community Microfinance Development Bank, increased by 10 percent. The share price of seven companies is above 9%.

Shares of HIDCL worth over Rs 467.4 million have been traded today. NCC Bank and Laxmi Bank also had the highest turnover.

The eight highest gainers have impressively closed at the upper limit of 10% gain today. Most of them are hydropower companies.

On the other side of things, Bishal Bazar (BBC) lost the most 10% and hit the negative circuit breaker for the day. BBC gained 10% for the last 10 days straight.

Three sectors gained and all others lost today. Banking gained the most 0.4% and Hydropower lost the most 1.86%.
