Shreeya Giri on Forbes’ list of influential people under 30

Kathmandu, May 16: Shreya Giri from Kathmandu has been selected from Asia in Forbes magazine’s list of 30 under 30 people.

In the list published by Forbes magazine on Thursday, she is included in the list of influential young people in Asia of 2024 in the category of ‘Social Impact’.

Giri, 28, is the founder of Nepalese digital mental health platform Happy Minds.

After completing her studies in London, Giri returned to Nepal on a mission to break the taboos surrounding mental illness. Happy Minds offers individual online and face-to-face counselling, as well as group workshops.

It has an Employment Assistance Program, partnering with organizations such as Unilever Nepal, Leapfrog and The British College to offer free psychological counseling to their employees. Happy Minds was named Best Newcomer from Nepal at the 2022 SAARC Startup Awards, and in 2023, Giri represented Nepal at the Youth Co:Lab Summit in Bangkok.
