State-3 govt preparing to establish paper factory

Hetauda, Oct 16 : The State-3 government is set to establish a paper factory at Manahari of Makawanpur at the investment of Rs 2 billion.

Preparation for Detailed Project Report (DPR) has taken stride for the establishment of the factory in collaboration with private sector.

Arun Nepal, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment of State-3, informed that the preparation is underway for the establishment of paper factory at Manahari.

He further said the preparation is being made keeping factory establishment in multi-year plan.

In the current fiscal year, the State-3 line ministry has allocated Rs 5 million for the preparation of DPR of the factory.

The factory is to be established in partnership with private sector, he said, adding the collaboration with private sector is envisioned for the sustainable operation of the factory.

Yekraj Uprety, chairperson of Manahari rural municipality, said they would provide adequate land for the establishment of paper factory under the aegis of state government.
