KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has decided not to hear cases related to habeas corpus and COVID-19 pandemic in the Supreme Court from April 28 to May 14 due to the rising COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was taken at a plenary session of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by Supreme Court Joint Spokesperson Devendra Dhakal. The statement said that except for habeas corpus and COVID pandemic, the proceedings have been postponed.
Also, in the case of High Court, District Court and other courts and tribunals, the relevant courts and tribunals have been directed to make arrangements for the provision of functional service flow on the basis of assessment of local situation and risks.
