T2o Tri-series: 175 for Nepal to win against the Dutch



Kathmandu, June 19: Nepal has restricted the Netherlands to 174 runs in the stipulated 20 overs in the match currently underway between the two sides, as part of the T20 Tri-series being held in Scotland.

In the first innings that just concluded at Glasgow, the Dutch side scored 174 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. The Dutch total was largely founded on the blistering knock of 86 runs in 53 balls by opener Micheal Levitt.

Roelof Van der Merwe was the second highest contributor to the Dutch total with 36 runs (n.0.) in 21 balls. Saqib Julikar and Aryan Dutta scored 14 and 17 runs respectively.

For the bowling side, Karan KC took 2 wickets giving away 40 runs in 4 overs, while Lalit Rajbansi, Dipendra Singh Airee, Rupesh Singh and Sandeep Lamichanne took 1 wicket each.

In the first match held under the series between the two sides, the Netherlands got better of Nepal in the third Super Over, after the regulation time and two Super Overs ended in a tie.

Nepal currently stands third in the points table with only 2 points following one win against Scotland, while the Netherlands leads with 4 points and host Scotland have 2 points, standing in second position with a better run rate.#nepal #sport #rss
