Nepali Congress wins Madane, NWPP sweeps in Bhaktapur

GULMI: Nepali Congress (NC)'s candidate Mahendra Kunwar has been elected chairperson of Madane rural municipality in Gulmi district, defeating his nearest rival by a close margin of 10 votes. Kunwar, who secured 4,707, was declared the winner on Monday noon. His nearest rival CPN (UML)'s Prem KC got 4,697 votes.
