Kathmandu : The government has begun a study on ways to improve the overall condition of the roads in Kathmandu valley.
A taskforce has been formed for the purpose. The taskforce is formed under the convenorship of joint secretary Chhabi Rijal at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
The taskforce comprises Director General at the Transport Management Department Gogan Bahadur Hamal, Director at the Department of Roads Shivahari Sapkota, chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Urban Development Division Uttar Regmi and Metropolitan Traffic Division Senior Superintendent of Police.
The taskforce is assigned to prepare report to recommend the government for the reform, upgrade and management of the roads in the valley.
