Tejulal Chaudhary wins third consecutive term

Rajbiraj: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Tejulal Chaudhary has won the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the Saptari electoral constituency-4.

The 60-year-old Chaudhary secured 23,491 votes against 17,977 by Bal Kishor Yadav of the Janata Samajbadi Party, according to the Office of the Election Officer, Constituency-4, Saptari.

Chaudhary had also won the previous two elections: 2017 general elections and the 2013 Constituent Assembly (CA) election from here.

With the announcement of the HoR poll results in the Saptari-4, the counting of votes cast under the first-past-the-post system ( FPTP) completed in the district. As per the results, the NC has won two HoR seats and the Janamat and Janata Samajbadi Party secured win in one constituency each.

Towards the Province Assembly (PA), the Janamat wins four while the NC, CPN (UML), CPN (Unified Socialist) and independent win a seat each.
