Kaski, March 10: The Gandaki province government has started training in tennis sport for with the objective of identifying young talent and finding a future in the sports.
Tennis training for children under the ‘Khelcha Gandaki’ initiative is organized by the Provincial Sports Council Gandaki. The program started on Saturday at the tennis court in Pokhara Stadium with the coordination of Gandaki Province Tennis Association and technical support of Kaski District Tennis Association.
This training program for children will be conducted for two months. The goal is to bring the children who are busy with their mobile phones to the playground.
A total of 25 children between 6 to 16 years of age are participating in the training program, said Secretary of Gandaki Province Tennis Association, Naveen Chali. Likewise, member secretary of Provincial Sports Council Gandaki, Sridhar Sharma, said that the tennis training for children will help produce talented tennis players in the country.
Through this training program, we have aimed to bring the children from the underprivileged community in the society to the tennis field and produce national tennis players”, said president of Gandaki Province Tennis Association, Binod Kayastha. RSS #Nepal
