Police have arrested three people in possession of automatic weapons including a sword.
They were held from Daduwa rural municipality in Banke district. According to DSP Madhusudan Neupane at the District Police Office, Banke, they arrested three people with automatic pistol (Made in USA) and nine rounds of bullet.
The arrested ones were Dipendra Adhikari of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-12, Sushant KC of ward no 18 and Dwarika Upadhyay of Kailali district.
A team of police found those weapons while searching a vehicle with registration number as Bagmati Province 01-025 Cha 3097 after they heard sound of firing nearby Rapti Bridge.
Police made them public today at a press conference. Further investigation into the case was underway, said DSP Neupane.
