Birgunj, Sept 12: As the local administration and security bodies managed to maintain law and order situation in Birgunj, no inmate could flee the Parsa jail in the recent incidents of protest and vandalism in the wake of Gen-Z protests.
As thousands of inmates escaped from the jail of different districts, the Birgunj Prison administration managed to house all 1,300 plus inmates safely.
Administrator of Birgunj Prison Office, Bablal Regmi, said that the inmates were immediately taken under command despite their attempts to escape from the jail by breaking the CC cameras in the prison, destroying the infrastructures and dismantling the walls of the prison house.
“The jailbirds had attempted to escape from the jail by collapsing the walls. They had made multiple attempts. But, they could not escape. We also avoided the casualty,” Regmi elaborated. All jailbirds are safe in the jail, he added.
Chief of Parsa District Police, Office, Superintendent of Police Gautam Mishra shared that the inmates who tried to flee the jail were taken under control by opening fires on the sky and below knees.
Presently, personnel of the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal and Nepal Police have been deployed to for security purpose.#nepal #rss
