Kathmandu, April 27: National Assembly (NA) member Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said all political parties need to be united for the protection of achievements made after several struggles.
Speaking in the NA meeting on Sunday, lawmaker Shrestha who is also the Vice-Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), said time has come for all republic forces to be united for bolstering the system. It is essential to protect loktantra, proportional system, inclusion and secularism, he underlined.
Atmosphere for socio-economic transformation of country was created due to the new political system, he said, adding that the political achievements should be further branched out to social and economic fronts.
“We’ve made a political change, but failed to address people’s need of education, health and employments,” Shrestha admitted. The citizens must be ensured minimum services. The parties’ unity and coordination should work for the cause of country.
The leader further said it is true we could not make a stride on socioeconomic transformation the country and people aspired and needed. He drew the attention of government to conclude remaining tasks of peace process.#nepal #political #rss
