Kathmandu, May 2: The arrival of foreign tourists in Nepal has increased by 12.75 percent. According to Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the number of tourists has increased in April 2024 as compared to April 2023.
A total of 98,773 foreign tourists visited Nepal in April 2023, while 111,376 tourists came in the same period of 2024. According to the board, 61,589 tourists came to Nepal in April 2022.
Board says that the largest number of tourists entering Nepal in April are Indian citizens. During that period, 30,158 Indian, 9,947 American, and 9,750 Chinese tourists have come to Nepal. In addition, 5,391 tourists came from Britain, 4,110 from Australia, 4,303 from Bangladesh, 3,755 from France, 3,270 from Germany, 2,977 from Russia and 2,310 from Malaysia.
