Two employees deployed for polls die



Kathmandu: Two employees deployed for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly died in Solukhumbu district.

One of the deceased is Biltu Raya of Haripuruwa-6 in Sarlahi district, who was found dead while asleep. Another one is Pabitra Limbu of Snaghurigadhi-4 in Dhankuta district. Limbu, who suffered from a disease, died in course of treatment, it has been said.

Raya was assigned for the polls at a polling centre of Phurke community forest users’ group office at Nechasalyan Rural Municipality-4 in Solukhumbu district, and Limbu at a polling centre at Siddheshwori Boarding School at Sanghurigadhi-3 in Dhankuta district.

Meanwhile, Spokesperson for the Election Commission Shaligram Sharma Paudel in a message on Saturday offered his condolences to the bereaved families.

Similarly, the EC- through the Home Ministry- urged all bodies to do their best to provide health service and security to all employees deployed for the polls.
