U.S. Embassy Nepal Supports CEO Dialogue on Technology and Storytelling to Boost Tourism Investment



Bhairahawa: U.S. Embassy Nepal supported the CEO Dialogue on “Leveraging Technology and Storytelling for Tourism” in Bhairahawa, strengthening U.S.–Nepal commercial ties and opening doors for investment and economic growth.

Implemented by Aadyanta Advisory and the International Development Institute, and co-organized with AmCham Nepal and the Global Impact Collective, the dialogue brought together tourism industry leaders, digital innovators, policymakers, academics, media, and young professionals. Together, they explored how Nepal can attract higher-value visitors and drive stronger investment flows through technology and storytelling in tourism.

American entrepreneur and Silicon Valley innovator Dileep Dhakal, Founder and CEO of Veel, showcased how creator-driven platforms can transform traveler and creator content into a powerful tool for visibility, engagement, and growth. Participants got an exclusive preview of Veel’s user-generated content dashboard, which highlights the potential of digital storytelling in promoting tourism at the intersection of creator economies, AI-enabled marketing, and platform ecosystems.

Shiva Dhakal, Founder and Managing Director of Royal Mountain Group, emphasized the importance of responsible tourism and narrative-driven promotion as Nepal’s competitive edge. He shared his vision for how experience design and platform-driven storytelling can position Nepal to compete for the world’s highest-value travelers.
