Pokhara: Vice-President Nanda Kishor Pun has arrived in Pokhara today to inaugurate the Ninth National Games.
Vice-President Pun, who arrived on Buddha Air’s flight, would attend the inauguration of the National Games, which would be inaugurated at Pokhara Stadium at 4:00 pm on October 14, Friday.
Security has been beefed up in Pokhara with the arrival of the Vice-President, said Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Ajay KC.
Although President Bidya Devi Bhandari was scheduled to inaugurate the National Games, it was not possible due to her health problem.
A total of 11 teams are participating in the National Games, which is taking place in eight districts of Gandaki Province.
