Kathmandu, July 17: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav returned to Nepal on Thursday after completing a three-day official visit to the State of Qatar.
During the visit, Vice President Yadav paid a courtesy call on Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, at Lusail Palace in Lusail City.
On the occasion, he handed over a Letter of Condolence from President Ramchandra Paudel following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir of the State of Qatar, who died on July 12, 2026.
Following the handover, the Vice President held a brief meeting with the Amir, during which he paid tribute to the late Father Amir’s visionary leadership and his significant contribution to Qatar’s modernisation and development, as well as to strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Nepal and Qatar.
Vice President Yadav also conveyed, on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal, heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to the Amir, the Royal Family, the Government and the people of Qatar over the loss of the Father Amir. #nepal
