West Indies A sets a target of 161 runs against Nepal



Kathmandu, April 28: The visiting West Indies ‘A’ cricket team has presented a target of 161 runs to win against Nepal.

After winning the toss and batting first at the Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur, West Indies ‘A’ scored 160 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Andre Fletcher scored the highest 43 runs. He hit three sixes while facing 36 balls. Also, Gudakesh Motie contributed 33 runs, and captain Roston Chase contributed 23 runs.

For Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel and Sagar Dhakal took two wickets each, while Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee took one wicket each. In the first match of the ongoing tournament, Nepal won by four wickets.

In today’s match, Nepal’s playing 11 includes captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Anil Shah, Sagar Dhakal, Kushal Bhurtel, Arif Sheikh, Dipendra Singh Airee, Kushal Malla, Gulshan Jha, Sompal Kami, Akash Chand and Lokesh Bam.

Also, the West Indies ‘A’ playing 11 includes captain Roston Chase, Alick Athanaze, Casey Carty, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Matthew Ford, Oshane Thomas, Obed McCoy, Gudakesh Motie, Keemo Paul and Hayden Walsh.

Meanwhile, Nepal has started it’s batting against West Indies A.  Nepal has scored 21 runs after losing one wicket in 4 overs. Nepal lost Kushal Bhurtel in 2 individual runs.

Now, Nepali skipper Rohit Paudel and Anil Shah are in the crease. Rohit hit century against West Indies A in the opening match on Saturday.
