Wire net, CCTV cameras installed at vote-counting station in Bharatpur

Bharatpur, April 23: Wire net and CCTV cameras have been installed at Chitwan’s vote-counting place to make the place secure. Altogether nine CCTV cameras were installed in the place where vote-counting of the by-election is taking place, according to Ishwor Acharya, assistance election officer.

Votes cast in Chitwan-2 by-election would be counted at Chitwan Exhibition Centre which is further secured by net.

It may be recalled that ballot papers were torn apart during vote-counting in 2074 BS election. Hence, special attention is paid to security arrangement in the vote-counting station.

Time for the counting would be determined after all-parties’ meeting, he said.
