Xizang Autonomous Region to provide Nepal 10 crore RMB



Kathmandu, Nov 12: The Xizang Autonomous Region of China have agreed to provide RMB 10 crore grant to Nepal within four years.

An agreement to this regard was signed and exchanged today at the Ministry of Finance, Singhdurbar in the presence of Finance Secretary Krishna Hari Pushkar.

The Xizang will provide 2 crore RMB each year between 2024 to 2028.

Recently, Secretary of Communist Party of China and Xizang Autonomous Region Chief Wang Junzheng was in Kathmandu for a friendly visit. During his stay in Kathmandu, he had held series of meetings with President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, political leaders, among others.

However, the Finance Ministry has not clarified about the area of expenditure of the grant.
