Youth will no longer be forced to go abroad: Finance Minister Wagle



Kathmandu, June 14: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has said that the compulsion of youth to go abroad to fulfill their dreams will end in the next five years.

At the National Youth Entrepreneurship Conference, 2026, organized in Kathmandu today, Finance Minister Dr Wagle said that adequate opportunities for employment, education and others will be created for the youth in the country through the next year’s budget. The government has taken policy initiatives through the budget to lay the foundation to prevent the compulsion of going abroad for progress and prosperity.

The Finance Minister said that tax concessions, exemptions for entrepreneurs and traders, digitalization of government administration and implementation of the good governance agenda will move forward on a new path of nation-building.

He said that the tax rate has been reduced in the budget and youth earning up to Rs. 100,000 have been given significant concessions and have been relieved from the hassle of taxes. Dr Wagle also urged everyone to take advantage of it.

A lot of thought has been given to expanding the entrepreneurial thinking and planning of the youth in the upcoming budget and programs have been announced accordingly. #nepal #rss
