152 COVID-19 cases, two deaths in 24 hours



Kathmandu: The country recorded 152 COVID-19 cases with two infection-related fatalities in the past 24 hours. The caseloads were from the total 3,294 tests (1,186 PCR and 2, 108 antigen), according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

During the same period, 133 infected people got rid of the deadly virus, putting the recovery figure at 984,082 so far. The recovery rate stands at 98.6 percent while infection rate 16.9 percent.

As of now, the death toll from the infection hit 12,012 across the country. Similarly, active infection cases are 2,448 all over the country with the Kathmandu Valley alone accounting for 1,494 (1,041 in Kathmandu, 421 in Lalitpur and 32 in Bhaktapur), said the Ministry.

At present, 2,359 infected people are getting recovery in home-isolation and 89 in institutional isolations. Likewise, 18 have been admitted to intensive care units, and two on ventilator support.

The districts reporting zero infection cases are Manang, Mustang, Dang, Jajarkot, Humla, Dolpa, Mugu, Bajhang, Jumla and Darchula.
