Kathmandu, April 30: A jeep accident in Thawang of Rolpa district has claimed the lives of 17 people, police confirmed.
The vehicle, traveling from Rukum (East), met with the accident at Jaljala in Thawang Rural Municipality-1, Rolpa district.
Rescue operations are currently underway, according to Nepal Police. District Police Office, Rolpa, said that the jeep veered some 800 meters down the road, causing a fatal accident.
Rain has created a hassle for the resuce operation.
